Winter 2026 Cohort

Rite-of-passage experience for girls of color 12-14.

This cohort is a rite-of-passage experience for girls of color stepping into a new stage of life — guiding them to embrace self-love, confidence, and purpose through the art of storytelling.

Storytelling as a Tool for Personal Transformation

The Virtual Story Lab empowers storytellers of color to transform limiting beliefs and ideas into powerful narratives that heal, uplift, and drive change in their communities.

For girls of color, reclaiming their story means reclaiming their power.

Too often, the stories of Black and Brown girls are written by others — schools, systems, or stereotypes.

This program flips the script.

What it is:

This is a 4-month wellness and self-discovery program for girls of color ages 12–14, hosted inside the Virtual Story Lab. It’s designed to strengthen self-esteem, emotional resilience, and healthy coping skills at a critical stage of development.

Inside the Virtual Story Lab

  • I began speaking up for myself!

I was stressed and overwhelmed but found my voice through the Virtual Story Lab and began speaking up for myself more. I asked for a raise, had more pride in myself, and embraced uncomfortable moments, I felt inspired by Guests who led Master Classes.

  • I became myself!

I was finding myself, exploring self love and healthy eating but found my voice through the Virtual Story Lab and became myself. I transitioned jobs, moved to another state, gave attention to my love for photography and sold some of my work at an art show.

  • Interactive way that’s fun and unique!

I think it is a unique way to reach young men. The lab let’s them engage with others in an interactive way that’s fun and unique and connects ppl from far distances. I also believe this program will allow their voice to be heard and build confidence in their voice being heard in a way that takes the pressure of face to face conversation. 🙏🏾💙✨️
